New Mexicans get to nominate people each year and they are rewarded with an opportunity to meet the Governor and a trip to the Gildan New Mexico Bowl.

John Masterson, a teacher from Roswell, for bravery in ceasing the shooting at Berrendo Middle School.
Jan DeMaggio, Special Spaces – Albuquerque, for creating dream bedrooms for children facing life threatening disease.
Chuck Howe, Vietnam Veteran’s Memorial and Veteran’s Wellness and Healing Center in Angel Fire, for his work in aiding veterans with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.
Jim Stogsdill, Albuquerque Guardians of the Children – Rio Grande Chapter, for advocating against child abuse and protecting children in abusive situations.
