Aoibheann O’Brien and Iseult Ward, Trinity College graduates, have found an ingenious way to distribute food fare to the needy by connecting charities in need of food with businesses that have too much food.

Through virtual foodbank FoodCloud, surplus food is sourced from supermarkets for food safety standards. FoodCloud, which was launched in 2013, is now crowned as Ireland’s top social enterprise in Join Our Core, a recent international competition co-sponsored by Ben & Jerry’s.
