In every community across the globe, folks are making significant contributions to the health and vibrancy of their communities.  Here’s how one Australian community celebrates an everyday hero.

Appin’s Anthony Maroun was one of many fathers nationwide who earned recognition for his contributions to grassroots sport this month.

Maroun, 35, was nominated for the 2015 Philips Community Sports Dad of the Year award that recognised the unsung heroes that make a positive impact on the community and their families on and off the sporting field.
